SCVue runs in a private workspace or a cloud workspace, switchable at any time. Private keeps everything on your own machine. Cloud makes it shareable, so a team can collaborate on the same captures and findings.

SCVue runs privately or in the cloud, and the two present the same reports and the same interface. An analyst who learns SCVue offline on a laptop is already fluent in the version their organization runs centrally.

What changes is custody. In a private workspace nothing leaves the machine at all. When work is promoted to a cloud workspace, personal information is stripped from the capture before it goes, and the server rejects anything that arrives unscrubbed.

Protected, and Expandable

  • Private

    Everything stays on your own computer, inside your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is shared, and the application works with no internet connection at all. It is how the free community edition works, and the right place for captures meant to remain private.

  • Cloud

    The same application with shared storage. Captures, analysis and findings are available to the team, schedules and remote captures run on SCVue's infrastructure rather than on your own machine, and a finding one analyst produced becomes the shared work product, reducing duplicative effort.

  • No PII Is Ever Stored

    The scrub runs on your own machine at the moment work is promoted, and the server re-validates what arrives. Unscrubbed payloads are rejected. Personal information from a capture is never stored in the cloud.

  • Deletion Is Explicit and Specific

    Every deletion is confirmed, and states exactly what will be removed.

  • Switching Is a Decision, Not a Migration

    You do not have to decide at the start. Work begun in private can be promoted when it is ready to be shared.

  • Cookie Values Are Truncated

    Cookie reports show only a short preview of each value, so a cookie report can be shared without leaking session tokens.
